If you’re familiar with the world of functional fitness, then you probably already know that the OC Throwdown is the highest profile CrossFit event outside of the Games themselves. SweatWorks is happy to announce our presence at 2015 OCT, where they’ll be using our Conquest suite of solutions for real-time leaderboard stats. The OC Throwdown was the first local “Sport of Fitness” competition held in Southern California, this year marking its sixth consecutive event. The goal of the competition is to provide local Southern Californian athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills and fitness levels. The first event featured 125 athletes with 400 spectators watching, and the event has only grown from there! Today, the OCT attracts athletes from across the globe, as well as an expected 6,000 spectators for 2015. If you’re interested in attending the 2015 OTC, you can buy tickets on the company’s site now. The original OCT included four very different, very difficult functional fitness workouts selected by James “OPT” Fitzgerald and took place in a giant 12,000 square foot warehouse that came equipped with videographers, photographers, a massive sound system and killer DJs. This year’s occasion features three full days of competition across a variety of fitness events, with the first-place male, female and team each winning $20,000. A multiple camera system will be used to stream the event throughout the entire weekend. SweatWorks will be on-site to support the 2015 OCT. Athletes, spectators and online streaming viewers will be able to follow the event live with the Conquest leaderboard. The entire event will be chip-timed using Chronotrack Live with Conquest – the only integrated chip timing solution in functional fitness. Athletes will have the confidence in knowing that their results are being delivered using the same systems used to time world class events such as the New York City Marathon. SweatWorks Conquest for Events helps fitness organizations of all sizes prepare for the online presence of their events, and we’re excited to be helping out at OTC in 2015. We understand that winning the conversion battle is all about keeping the event on your own website rather than sending traffic
elsewhere. Our software integrates with your site to give your visitor a better registration experience. With Conquest, it’s easy to embed your events right into your website, along with event scoring, registration and photos, and we’re excited to be offering these services to OCT. In addition to these features, Conquest offers, tracking services for competing athletes, custom scoring and real-time leaderboards. OTC decided to partner with us over our competitors in 2015 because our platform is the only one in the industry that combines chip-timing technology with functional fitness event scoring to provide a real-time leaderboard for the event.
